The Silverton home design is a wonderfully flexible plan that enables home buyers to fine tune the exterior and interior to create a home that feels custom made. This single-story home with two- to three-bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two- to three-car garage has 1,482 square feet of living space that flows beautifully, providing both privacy and plenty of space to gather.
The exterior of the Silverton design features various elevations that range from cozy Craftsman stone and wood to a sleeker modern design that still serves up design features that make the home stand out beautifully. No matter which exterior option you choose, this home features a covered front porch for a great welcome.
You enter the home through a foyer that includes an entry bench, perfect for removing shoes, dropping off bags, and storing things like dog leashes and other items in baskets that can easily be added to make the space meet your needs. From the entry runs a long coffered ceiling hallway that is stylish and a way to provide privacy for various sections of the home.
At the front of the home, just off of the start of the entry hallway, is an opening that leads to the second bedroom, and a full bathroom with a tub/shower. There’s also a linen closet off the bathroom for additional storage. This bedroom area offers a sense of privacy as it is set off from the main living area.
As you proceed down the entry hallway, you’ll come next to the den. This space can be left open to the hallway and great room next to it, or doors can be added for additional privacy. Another example of the flexibility of this home design is the fact that the den can also be turned into a third bedroom.
Across the hall from the den is a closet next to a spacious laundry room. Then, at the end of the hallway, you enter into the heart of the home with the open-plan kitchen, great room, and dining area. A covered patio is accessible via a sliding glass door in the dining area, making it great for entertaining, as well as simply relaxing.
The spacious kitchen includes plenty of cabinets, a desk area, and a walk-in pantry, along with a large kitchen island, great for casual meals or casual conversation, as well as providing extra counter space. The kitchen flows smoothly to the dining area. From the kitchen and dining area, the floor plan opens onto the great room, which features a stunning coffered ceiling. The choice to add windows surrounding the fireplace as well as the large window looking onto the back patio give the room plenty of natural light.
Just off the kitchen and dining area is the entrance to the master bedroom suite. Here you’ll find a spacious bedroom at the back of the home. The entrance to the ensuite bathroom can be left open or an optional barn door is a stylish addition. Inside the bathroom is a dual-sink vanity, separate toilet, a linen closet, and an optional skylight. The bathroom leads to the large walk-in closet.
The Silverton is an ideal home design for small families or empty nesters who still want space and storage. The two-car garage can easily become a three-car garage or simply be extended to create a five-foot shop addition, perfect for hobbies or storing equipment.
