Floor Plan Profile: McKinley

You don’t need a huge home; you need a thoughtfully planned home and that’s our McKinley floor plan. It’s still spacious at 1,982 square feet, so it’s far from small, but it’s a great size for couples or small families looking for homes in Bonney Lake WA, who don’t want to spend their free time dealing with more house than they need.

The McKinley is a single-story home with three to four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. As with all of our homes, we start with a great basic layout and provide options that let you turn it into a home that best fits your lifestyle. In the case of the McKinley, some of those options include a covered patio/deck, turning the den into an additional bedroom, and a three-car garage, which is great for workshops, storing sporting gear, or simply as space for another car!

The layout of this home makes it easy to move around and stay in touch with family when needed, but also provides necessary privacy, which is something people appreciate even more after the past year. A covered front porch leads into the welcoming entry, which has direct access to the den. There’s an option for double doors to the den if you want to make it into a more private home office. You could also choose to turn this space into an additional fourth bedroom if that better fits your needs. A coffered ceiling hallway leads past the side hall entrance to the two secondary bedrooms, along with access to one of the full bathrooms that is conveniently placed for both bedrooms.

The owner’s suite, on the other hand, is on the other side of the home in the back, offering additional privacy. The spacious bedroom has a luxurious ensuite bathroom with separate shower and bathtub and the option of a skylight for a real sense of spa-like relaxation. The bathroom then leads into the large walk-in closet with an option for built-in shelves.

The bedrooms are set to the edges of the home for privacy, but the heart of the home is the open-plan great room, kitchen, and dining area. This is where everyone can come together and comfortably spend time as a family. The great room has a coffered ceiling for a lovely architectural feature and there’s the option for a fireplace and built-in shelving surrounding the fireplace. The kitchen is large and has plenty of cabinets and cupboards for storage, along with a kitchen island and a walk-in pantry. The dining area off the kitchen is convenient and also leads to the back patio, great for summertime entertaining.
